This Privacy Policy describes how CLIMATE PRO ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ClimatePro website and application (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address and authentication data. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (such as email and name) as permitted by your Google account settings.
Customer content
The Service allows you to create portfolios and store locations (for example, site names and coordinates). You control what you upload or enter.
Payment information
Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers. We may store identifiers such as your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to provide access to paid features.
Usage and device information
We may collect information about how you access and use the Service (for example, pages visited and actions taken) and basic device/browser information. This may be collected directly by us or via analytics and hosting providers.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service, including authentication/session cookies and security cookies set by our bot-protection provider (Cloudflare Turnstile). We also use browser local storage to remember your preferences (for example, map display settings). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. Lawful bases for processing (UK/EU GDPR)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract with you, including providing access to the Service and managing subscriptions.
- Legitimate interests, including securing, maintaining, improving, and administering the Service, and sending service-related and limited marketing communications to existing customers.
- Compliance with legal obligations.
- Consent, where required by applicable law.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Service
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and prevent abuse
- Process subscriptions and enforce plan limits
- Improve the Service and troubleshoot issues
- Communicate with you about your account and service updates
Marketing communications. If you create an account, we may send you occasional emails about product features, updates, and related services under the "soft opt-in" exemption available under UK and EU e-privacy rules for existing customers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or contacting us. Opting out does not affect service-related emails (for example, verification, billing, or security notices).
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service, including with service providers ("subprocessors") such as:
- Hosting/edge: Vercel (to host the web application)
- Database: Neon (Postgres hosting)
- Payments: Stripe (to process subscriptions)
- Email delivery: Resend (to send verification and password reset emails)
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger or acquisition).

5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes such as security, compliance, and dispute resolution. You can request deletion as described below.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
- Account updates: You may update your account information in the Service.
- Deletion: You can request account deletion by contacting us at support@climatepro.ai.
- Marketing opt-out: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact us.
Subject to applicable law (including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR), you may also have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. If you are located in the United Kingdom and believe that we have not handled your personal data appropriately, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). EEA residents may complain to their local supervisory authority.
US state privacy laws. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended), including rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. 8. International users and transfers
If you access the Service from outside of the United Kingdom, you understand that your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law, including adequacy regulations, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, as described in our Data Processing Addendum.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date.
